I'm on Snapshot! What an unglam pic hahahaha..
Superman's fringe + a swollen hand. & that bu-nai-fan facial expression. In my other hand was my hp. That was my source of motivation with smses fr Antz and me trying to read & reply him while bouncing up & down along the road haha. Really cumbersome...
Anyway my timing turned out to be 1:19:55. Jean was faster with 1:17! Woots! 45mins44secs for the first 5km & 34mins10secs for the next 5km. Not quite possible coz i think i was slower in my 2nd half, thou i did sprinted in my final 1km. & usually my timing for 5kms ~35mins. Could it be due to the reason we started the race 10-15mins later? & we thought they have the chip sensor to check our indiv's start time.... Or either that, we jogged REALLY leisurely & slowly in our 1st 5kms. Wierd.
Anyway this was my 3rd time running 10km! Proud of myself. & not to mention the great company of the 2 grls to run & spend the nite with.. :):)
But guess the stress after all these running lately was a lil' too much for my knee caps to take. The pain has become perpetual & i am temporarily down-graded to Pes C with special grant in excuse from running (haha). So back to my fav sport - swimming - again to keep that metabolism rate stable.
REST it is to my knee caps... for the time being. Till my next run in Aug with yeow!

Good things are worth waiting. Delayed gratification! We'll just have to be patient if we wanna go for our private trips. At least after our wedding.
Wanna go so many places with dear it's getting a little unbearable!!
Wells at least I'm glad we managed to FINALLY settle somewhere with another christian couple in coming June. Thou it's a place I've been before twice, but due to many many restrictions & unforeseen circumstances, this would be our final & only choice left for the 4 of us.
What to do? When u have to travel with others, you'll just have to compromise on some things i guess.
But still very much looking forward to it. Nonetheless it's still a getaway & I believe it's going to be good quality time spent & lots of fun with dear & friends.
Let's just leave the rest to the future. Let our lives be pleasing to the Lord. Patience! :)

Came across some really nice "jumping" pictures on the web. Got reminded of how we too burst out laughing whenever we tried time & time again to get that 'perfect jump', and smiled with pride when that shot was made...
How simply happiness is, when u do something crazy with a bunch of frenz, or with just yrself at some crazy time & place. :)
"151/365... Just jumping, jumping" by Desirée Delgado
"Ella and Christl Jump!" by kwanie
"Wedding Day Jump" by Fevi in Cayman
"Crater Lake Mirror" by Powderruns
"Jumpin' in the Rain" by Tony the Misfit
"Jump v.2" by -= ierkof =-

Some quick tots.
'Be thankful!' I'm always advocated. Competition is good for growth. But too much will lead to a bad-intentioned heart. We always hear Only True Friends Delight in Your Success. That's really true. I wish to have more friends like this. I myself also want to stay unenvious of anybody, count my blessings everyday, and delight in my friends' successes around me & not with a green-eyed vision. Yea!
The book i'm reading lately is "Talent is Never Enough" by John C. Maxwell. It's only the beginning and am already so blessed by it. It warns of relying too much of talent only, and how to protect & nurture the talents we have that they can grow to something meaningful and contributable and thereby fulfilling our dreams/goals in life.
A quote from the book by "Irving Berlin" - 'The toughest thing about success is that you've got to keep on being a success. Talent is only a starting point in business. You've got to KEEP WORKING THAT TALENT."
Sometimes knowing that we are good at something may ironically turned out to be that exact stumbling block that we toppled over if we just rely on it and don't have our characters checked constantly. We see really talented ppl not able to unleash their real potential in life and instead it's the never-give-up type who finally made it to be really successful.
So many thoughts, so many things i still need to learn.. jiayou!

I like! This movie was so unexpectedly good! Cool Vulcans' hair! & its iconic Vulcan's salute!!
I loved the over-sized hands part. Laughed til Antz almost had to cover my mouth from roaring too loudly. =p
Hmm.. Now i'm beginning to understand why it may have created such hype in the past. Hope they would seriously consider refilming the entire tv series!
Overall, the movie is a whopping new experience, shaking off any old-fashioned feel from its origins. Nice. :)

Time to pen something down here! Last weekend was exciting! 1st it was this at the NLB's Drama Centre Theatre last FRIDAY:
If There Are Seasons, a.k.a "Cold weather pls come back!!!"
Inserted with lots of popular songs written by Liang Wern Fook & a refreshing plot that tells a story of how a man struggles with his dreams and 2 girls of his past & now, i find it pretty delightful.
All thanks to my Company with the organizing, which gave us as staff a special special price, it's still relatively cheap with Antz coming along as a public rate.
(Secretly took a quick snap while in the theatre *not supposed to!* & it came out blurry sigh)
While i was focusing on the various actors' singing (George Chan & Shi Xin Hui's voices were fantastic!) & the beautiful lyrics which fitted perfectly into the plot as the story goes, Antz (being the more "Gang-Dang" potato - sometimes don't really understand what the actors are singing hahahaha) became intrigued by the background band such as how the drummer could play in such a high-fashion jazzy way, the way the guitar was strummed.. the bass etc. Coz of all these, we had so much personal comments that we kept whispering into each other ears throughout the entire musical, excitedly sharing away.
And i was relieved nobody sitting infront/beside/behind us complained at how annoying/disruptive we were!
I'm glad we both enjoyed this musical in our own special way :)
++++++
Thereafter on SATURDAY, we went for the Angels & Demons Race!
We signed this race up couple of weeks ago just for fun after Antz spotted its ad in Newpaper, not knowing we will so easily get selected for it - Total of 200 participants were selected (100 teams of 2) to race against each other vying for the top prize of a $10k worth of a Trip For 2 to Rome. Objective? Just to raise some prior hype & publicity for the movie I guess.
The coolest thing is all the race participants will be invited for the MOVIE GALA PREMIERE at night after the race!!! FOC!!! WOOTS! (The movie company sure have monies to splurge on such events lor)
And this is where we all started & ended. Bugis Illuma~
Since it's a race, all of us have to wear their event's T-Shirt & tag. My shuai boyboy~
Needless to say.... hahaha.
Look at the crowd!
Team 41!!!
Oh talking about team number.. Glenn Ong was there too to join in the fun as a participant. And guess what team number he took... 95 lo. Class 95~ The Morning Express. Lol.
& the race began! 10 mrt locations, 10 riddles to solve at each station. We touched on 8 stations before the game was over (once 1st 3 teams reached back destination).
Our journey in a span of ~3hrs+: Bugis-->Woodlands-->AMK-->Toa Payoh-->Somerset-->City Hall-->Tanjong Pagar-->JURONG EAST (yes u didnt see wrongly!)-->Clementi-->Bugis. Mad rush! But fun. =p
Paper filled with our hardwork & perspiration!!!!
Gala Premiere
The show was GREAT. I tot it might carry what most critics have to say about Dan Brown's works, having anti-God/Christ notion embedded behind. Not really though.. It's a movie that get people to ponder upon after they left the cinema. Centuries old debate between Faith & Science. Can they co-exist? Do science, technology, medical advancements etc. push away the existence of God? Nice show. My exact cup of tea. I'm starting to like Dan Brown. Haha.

I totally fell in love with this song when i 1st heard it during my pri school teacher's Ms Tan's church wedding. Even took an entire video down so that I could show it to Antz to help me find it..
& alas when we had a dinner one day with his friends Jason & Grace, Jason out-of-the-blue recommended a song to Antz & told him we could use it during our wedding...& it turns out to be this SAME song! Woohoo!
Lovely duet by Newsong. Beautiful beautiful lyrics....
When God Made You.
Its always been a mystery to me,
How two hearts can come together,
And love can last forever.
But now that I have found you I believe,
That a miracle has come when God sends the perfect one.
So gone are all my questions about why,
And i've never been so sure of anything in my life
Oh I wonder what God was thinking, when he created you.
I wonder if He knew everything I would need,
Because he made all my dreams come true.
When God made you, He must have been thinking about me.
Ooo ooo,I promise that wherever you may go, wherever life may lead you,
With all my heart I'll be there too.
And from this moment on I want you to know,
I'll let nothing come between us, and I will love the ones you love.
(guy):So gone are all my questions about why (girl echoes):about why
Oh I wonder what God was thinking when he created you,
I wonder if He knew everythin I would need,
Because He made all my dreams come true.
When God made you He must've been thinking about me.
He made the sun He made the moon,
To harmonize a perfect tune,
One can't do without the other they just have to be together.
And that is how I know its true,
Your for me and i'm for you and my world
Just cant be right without you in my life
He must have heard every prayer I've been praying
I've been praying
He must've knew everything I would need
When God made you, He must've been thinking about me.
*oww* Yes i want this on my wedding day!!! =p
When God made you, He must have been thinking about me. I LOVE YOU DEARIE!!

Some blog entries by Adam Khoo that caught my attention:
1) Bad Things Must Happen to You… For Good Things to Happen
2) The Price of Being a Genius? 10,000 Hours
3) "Some of you may already know that I travel around the region pretty frequently, having to visit and conduct seminars at my offices in Malaysia , Indonesia , Thailand and Suzhou ( China ). I am in the airport almost every other week so I get to bump into many people who have attended my seminars or have read my books.
Recently, someone came up to me on a plane to KL and looked rather shocked.
He asked, 'How come a millionaire like you is travelling economy?' My reply was, 'That's why I am a millionaire.' He still looked pretty confused.
This again confirms that greatest lie ever told about wealth (which I wrote about in my latest book 'Secrets of Self Made Millionaires'). Many people have been brainwashed to think that millionaires have to wear Gucci, Hugo Boss, Rolex, and sit on first class in air travel. This is why so many people never become rich because the moment that earn more money, they think that it is only natural that they spend more, putting them back to square one.
The truth is that most self-made millionaires are frugal and only spend on what is necessary and of value. That is why they are able to accumulate and multiply their wealth so much faster.
Over the last 7 years, I have saved about 80% of my income while today I save only about 60% (because I have my wife, mother in law, 2 maids, 2 kids, etc. to support). Still, it is way above most people who save 10% of their income (if they are lucky).
I refuse to buy a first class ticket or to buy a $300 shirt because I think that it is a complete waste of money. However, I happily pay $1,300 to send my 2-year old daughter to Julia Gabriel Speech and Drama without thinking twice.
When I joined the YEO (Young Entrepreneur's Organization) a few years back (YEO is an exclusive club open to those who are under 40 and make over $1m a year in their own business) I discovered that those who were self-made thought like me. Many of them with net worths well over $5m, travelled economy class and some even drove Toyota's and Nissans (not Audis, Mercs, BMWs).
I noticed that it was only those who never had to work hard to build their own wealth (there were also a few ministers' and tycoons' sons in the club) who spent like there was no tomorrow.
Somehow, when you did not have to build everything from scratch, you do not really value money. This is precisely the reason why a family's wealth (no matter how much) rarely lasts past the third generation. Thank God my rich dad (oh no! I sound like Kiyosaki) foresaw this terrible possibility and refused to give me a cent to start my business.
Then some people ask me, 'What is the point in making so much money if you don't enjoy it?' The thing is that I don't really find happiness in buying branded clothes, jewellery or sitting first class. Even if buying something makes me happy it is only for a while, it does not last.
Material happiness never lasts, it just give you a quick fix. After a while you feel lousy again and have to buy the next thing which you think will make you happy. I always think that if you need material things to make you happy, then you live a pretty sad and unfulfilled life.
Instead, what make ME happy is when I see my children laughing and playing and learning so fast. What makes me happy is when I see by companies and trainers reaching more and more people every year in so many more countries. What makes me really happy is when I read all the emails about how my books and seminars have touched and inspired someone's life. What makes me really happy is reading all your wonderful posts about how this BLOG is inspiring you. This happiness makes me feel really good for a long time, much much more than what a Rolex would do for me.
I think the point I want to put across is that happiness must come from doing your life's work (be in teaching, building homes, designing, trading, winning tournaments etc.) and the money that comes is only a by-product. If you hate what you are doing and rely on the money you earn to make you happy by buying stuff, then I think that you are living a life of meaningless."
