Can't really rem the EXACT words he used, so pardon me coz im juz gonna summarize it & use my own words for tis story.. heez. =P
There was a guy living on some mountain area. Let's name him John.
One day, John heard the news on tv at his little sweet home that the mountain (once a dormant volcano) that he is LIVING on now has become active and that it is gonna erupt in 24 HOURS TIME.
The safe spot for this eruption was 300km from the volcano mountain.
John had NO CAR. No any transport means either.
Shock is not the word to describe his feelings. HORROR's a better one.
He thought to himself, "Ji bai si liao...!!! How could i possibly run 300km in 24 hours???"
John walked up & down his living room, totally at wits.
He actually knows HOW he's gonna die!
Suddenly, he heard a knock at his door. He was taken aback. Who could still be here??
Standing outside was a well-dressed man with a big wide grin on his face.
He said, "Hi John i have something for you."
He gave John a set of car keys. John peered over this man's shoulders, and saw a LAMBORGHINI MURCIELAGO behind him.
Looking totally shocked, John said, "But but.. i dun have the money to pay u!"
"It's alrite John. It's a present. It's free."
"But why are you doing this???" John asked.
The man replied, "It'z coz i love you." =)
John couldnt believe his ears. With that car's top speed he could easily reach 300km away frm the volcano in juz 1 HOUR time!
John started to scream & yell with joy, dancing around his house.
"I'm saved.... I'M SAVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
& he kept shouting and jumping and dancing for another 24 hrs.........

Why did the man die in the end? Whats the point of having a car when u dun drive it & kept rattling on u are saved??
Salvation is not a one time thing. U've to constantly do God's works urself! It's a process.
That's the same thing w God's grace too.
(2 Cor 6: 1) "We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain."
What does it mean by receiving God's grace in vain? What is God's grace exactly? Is it once u've accepted salvation, u are under God's grace that it is a great cover up that can cover up ALL ur sins? Yes indeed it's bcoz of God's grace that u are forgiven of all ur past sins. But note, it's only PAST. Does that mean tt u can sin furthermore after receiving salvation? Of coz not! God's grace is not to be used as an excuse to sin. His grace cannot be taken for granted at all! He gave us grace juz coz He LOVES us. His grace empowers us to do what truth demands of us.
(2 Cor 7: 1) " Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."
The "cleanse ourselves" here doesnt mean "cleanse by Jesus' blood". We have been cleansed by His blood when we asked for Him to come into our lives. This is the foremost basic step. But what happens next? What does it mean here then?
It is telling us to pursue sanctification --> "perfecting holiness".
Jesus said in (Matt 7:20 -21) "Therefore by their fruits you will know them. Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the king of heaven, but he who DOES THE WILL OF MY FATHER in heaven."
The "fruits" here in modern context actually refers to the "lifestyles" of people! The behaviour, the conducts etc... By these, Jesus will know if this person fits to be His child or not. Jesus said Himself that not ALL who admitted Him as the Lord will enter heaven, unless they do the will of God, which is to lead a Godly & holy life..
James double confirm Jesus words by saying in (James 2: 24) "You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only."
Bad tree produces bad fruits.
"But but.. Jesus will see my heart! My heart follows Him, that's wat it matters!", you might say.
But the truth is Jesus do not have to see ur heart before knowing u are a good or bad tree.
He can tell simply from your fruits --> lifestyle.
The power of having the grace of Jesus in our lives is our lifestyles.
(1 John 2: 4-5)
4 "He who says, "I know Him (Jesus)," and does not keep His commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him."
The change in us after accepting Christ does not lie in our abilities too, but in God's grace. =)
I'd been troubled when ppl said things like "eh i tot u christian wat, Y u still wat wat wat wat..." (listing out my flaws which i'd b4 i converted)
Eh HALO, u think i'll be perfect once i became christian arh?? Like when i walked up front to the pouch, and ready to receive the altar call & accept Him into my life, & TA-DAAA!!! I'm a SAINT. Is it the case???? No coz not!!
If u are not sick would u go see a doc?? Same thing here.
If i'm a saint, why would i still need to go church??
Why would i still need to attend bible study?
Why would i still need Jesus (doctor) in my life???
Haiz.. as simple as that la................... I'm still pursuing.. =)
