Anyway now that 2yrs have passed. Things have indeed changed quite a fair bit.
From 9 of the freshies, it was down to 2. Me & Xiaoming (ya dun laugh!) Now, it's back to 3 again. Coz Shuzhen made a decision to come back, shortly 2 weeks after starting her new job 2 months ago. I'm not surprised though. Now she's back again, starting afresh, venturing into the new direction & post the company has set her in (which she has always wanted), i believe she's going to stay for quite some time. & I heard another decision from a fellow fresh grad resigner that he might have the intentions to come back too.
My DGM initiated a talk w me last week, about re-adjusting my salary due to Shuzhen's leaving & coming back. I felt slightly bemused, yet touched by the management's gesture apparently thinking that i might be very affected by it.
Yes though i reckoned that there's definitely a pay raise for this act of SZ's, but pay's
& further more, my DGM stressed that i can, if i felt that 1) my pay is giving me injustice to what i'm doing now or or 2) the opportunity cost of changing job is too high if i shall continue staying here, approach her or my GM directly to discuss this issue & they shall see how much more they can offer me. I joked to yuanyuan that i shld just ask for an enormous exaggerated pay raise straight away & see if they would really agree w it. haha. But of coz, that would be coupled with greater job responsibility & commitment they need to get from me..
& their means of assuring me to do that? i don't know..force me sign a bond that states i cannot quit for another 5 more yrs? Lol.
Maybe i shld reassess my situation. =p
