My Life, Your Story.

Was reading some past sermons last night, and happened to chance upon this sentence that makes me feel like blogging abt it.. =p

The greatest experience is not to receive love, but to give love.

Simple sentence hor? But makes me think & think abt it. Haha..Coz it tallies with wat i heard several wks before..

Yes it's up to us to decide whether we want to love someone or not. But if God has already said so, then isn't the decision clear? Nvm their reactions. Nvm whether they will appreciate, or they will love me back blah blah. Just do the right thing la - love!

Sometimes the most powerful revelations lies in simple yet fundamental stuffs like these.. =)

In another past cg sermon, i read:
"Love" is not the same as "Like". (ooh familiar~)
God loves all of us. But not all, He likes. (wah sure? wat doctrine izzit??) =p

& I still rem teaching violet the other (wrong) doctrine regarding tis lor.. bleah. K ppl DO make mistakes along the way.. I learnt. =p

How to attract true frenz to my life?
1) Serving one another
2) Be generous & giving
3) Esteeming others better than ourselves - Looking out for the interests for them
4) Being interested in other ppl
5) Encouraging others - Positively building them up
6) Appreciate others - Be thankful towards them
7) Smile all the time *yea! a smile cast dark clouds away =)*
8) Love yr neighbour as yrself *this is hard i admit*
9) Be edifying - Nvr put another person down infront of others

& it goes on to talk abt the type of frenz we shld look out for:-

1) Who'll help me to be wise
Brings the best out of me; challenges me to move on in life

2) Who'll help me share my burdens
Not self-centered!

3) Who'll help me grow spiritually
Ppl who will pray with me, lift me up, loyal & willing to confront me.

Frenz are part of one's education. How true..
There's a difference between love & like.. & yesss definitely i wanna be someone that God likes too! Whee~
