I HAD MY FIRST-EVER 10KM MARATHON RUN THIS MORNING!!!!!!!!!!

Woohoo!!!~~~

Like FINALLY! Haha.

What a relief... & what a personal feat! Even i cldn't believe it myself that i actually physically completed it... teehee.

& of coz, not to mention my Adidas-ad-like companion Mr Antz whom following my pace & perking me on to accomplish it in a sweet <1hour30mins time. Haha yes i know to the olympians, they did 10km like in <30mins..... But to someone like me who alwiz regard 10km as a seemingly impossible feat, it felt really great to accomplish it. & we did it without a single stop! *Yays!!!*

Yes so we ran past the Marina Barricades~
& the Singapore Flyer~

& it was only today that i realized there're a lot of running enthusiasts in Singapore! Taking the train at 6plus am on a Sun morning & seeing the train packed with joggers is no joke. Not mentioning the army guys who're forced to run, there're really a lot of ppl who signed up too. Esplanade was PACKED. Anyway heard that next week's Nike Human Race is going to expect EVEN MORE participants, (a little ex, so we skipped that at that time), i can't imagine the crowd then... hope they won't stumble & step over each other. -_-"

Anyway though i managed to complete today's run, felt that 10km is really a challenge for me. Was waiting & waiting for the mid-point to come since 45mins after we started running.. & i kept asking Andy have we reached 5km. & towards about close to 1hr, when i thought i couldn't continue anymore, to my pleasant delight there came the water-relief station.. & i instantly gulped down 2 full cups of 100-plus haha. & then! A little ahead was a 7KM banner waving welcomingly to us. U can't imagine how relief & thrilled i was man.. Totally didn't expect i had already long past the mid-point & now it was only 3 more km to go!

So of coz, the remaining 3km was all in the mind & it was a rather pleasant journey back i shld say. =p

Kz I'm so gonna make running a more frequent habit for me after today. 5-6km is just nice. Anything more than that i admit it's still a struggle. =(

Next one we'd signed up - the 5km KPE run in Sep. (Any takers?)

I think these kind of marathons/human race run will make me start liking running. ;)
