It was uplifting to hear each & every single one of them giving thanks to God during our Thanksgiving Night about how God has blessed them individually in their lives in 2008. It was even moving when quite a number of us (including Antz & I) dedicated the blossoming friendships in this newly formed cg as a huge blessing/turning point/highlight in 2008.
Yes e471 is only 6mths old! & unlike my previous cell, who is made up of mostly young adults with fairly long(er) walks with God (to be honest, i miss them a lot too!!), e471 is pretty much the opposite, with mostly older working adults with richer life experiences, but whom has just recently accepted Christ not too long ago.
Wan Ee, our cell group leader, treated us all like matured adults. She seldom singled us, but often talked to us as an entire audience. She can be so frank at times i got amazed at her wisdom of balancing discipline with her wit & humor. & what we absorbed in the end is even deeper respect for God, for her, & on how we should live our lives in a way it pleases God. She trains us to take the truth, & nothing but the truth, but yet loving enough to empathize with our situations/weaknesses.
We shared our 2009 new year resolutions, & most of us desired friendships amongst us to be deepened & strengthened. Some even mentioned my name! It moved me a lot. Coz that's exactly what i desire too - to have even stronger friendships with this bunch of people.. i know my life, my character, my thoughts are going to change for the better. I have a very good feeling towards e471. Really.
Time to seek & hop onto the bandwagon. :)
