Dr. Robb Thompson - Daily Success Key
Every Man Wants More Faith; But Few People Want More Of The God's Word.
Romans 10:17
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. (NKJV)
Luke 17:5-7
And the apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith."
So the Lord said, "If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you." (NKJV)
As believers in Jesus Christ we are called to walk by faith and not by sight. Our obedience brings heaven no pleasure until it has first been mixed with faith. Faith is not a magical powder heaven showers upon those who ask for it. Faith is not something that one can pray for, nor does it come because we went through a negative experience.
We only find two ways in all of scripture indicating how we can increase our faith. The first way is by hearing of the Word of God and the other through the confession of our mouth. Before we can understand why that is, we must understand that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
God's Word is full of truths that many of us have yet to experience in our lives. The more we meditate upon the truths of God's Word and confess them throughout our day, the more faith will begin to rise up within our hearts. We will then possess the necessary power to overcome the giants in our lives. Once faith is released through our mouth and ignited by our actions, we will soon see the manifestation of God's promises in our lives.
Confession

"I walk by faith and not by sight. I will continually incline my ear to hear Your Word and I will meditate upon it day and night. I know that the promises of God will be manifest in my life."
